Challenge
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) created in-language videos in 23 languages in their most recent multicultural communications campaign. In an effort, to make the videos more inclusive, subtitles were added to the videos to maximise engagement with CALD audiences.
Solution
To support VEC with their in-language videos, The LOTE Agency conducted cultural assessments of their videos to ensure the audio aligns with the scripts and all statements are culturally appropriate. A total of 46 subtitle files were created by LOTE’s expert production team for each video and language, followed by our rigorous QA process and proofed by an independent translator to ensure the quality of our work.
