The LOTE Discovery Experience

A practical way to understand growth opportunities for your organisation

Discovery helps organisations understand how inclusion is currently operating across their systems, services and culture, and where potential opportunities exist. It is designed for a broad range of service-based organisations, from corporations and utility providers to sporting institutions, government programs and not-for-profits.

What’s involved

Our Discovery Process draws on co-design, cultural insights, and strategic enablers for change. It flexes to suit each client’s scale, readiness, and focus. At its core, this experience with LOTE creates a shared understanding of where you are now and what is possible.

1. Listen and Learn

We begin with a deep dive into your context. This includes understanding your organisation’s purpose, your audience, and the systems or services you already have in place. We gather existing documents, review past initiatives, and engage with internal stakeholders to get a sense of what matters most.

2. Facilitate a Discovery Workshop

We bring your teams together in a guided, co-designed session. We explore how inclusion is currently showing up across six key areas: strategy, systems, communications, data, people and partnerships. We use comprehensive data capture tools, including the Inclusive Australia Workplace Diversity & Inclusion Diagnostic Tool which has been developed in collaboration with Monash Behaviourworks. This supports open conversations backed by proven metrics. The result is a maturity map that provides a baseline for sector comparison and broader inclusion capability models.

3. Capture Insights

Following the session, we synthesise what we heard into a Discovery Report. The result is a comprehensive report that brings together insights from the workshop and diagnostic survey results. It pinpoints the key areas for improvement, highlights strategic opportunities, and outlines clear, actionable recommendations to guide your next steps, ensuring meaningful progress toward organisational goals.

Discovery does not leave you with a static report. Our team works with you to design practical next steps, tailored to your needs. Whether you are just beginning or ready to embed inclusion across your operations, we provide targeted advice and tools to help you move forward.

We design a practical roadmap that aligns with your existing organisational objectives, to guide a future where your teams, customers and communities are included and engaged. A future road map may include inclusive communications strategies and support, workforce consultation, inclusive service design services, community engagement, inclusion training or executive alignment workshops.

This was a very engaging and thought-provoking workshop. It felt like a safe environment to have honest conversations around what we can do better and changes that we can start to make.
