Message from the owners | Are you ready to join us in our commitment to good business?

The LOTE Agency started as a humble translation provider operating in our family’s garden shed over 25 years ago.

In the years since, we have connected with thousands of multicultural community groups across the nation, produced over 13,000 multicultural inclusion-related projects, worked in over 200 languages and supported an immeasurable number of community-related initiatives, programs, and charities on a pro-bono basis. And now, we have officially joined the #business4Good community as a certified social enterprise.

What’s a social enterprise? It’s a business that puts people and planet above the bottom line. Some well-known social enterprises are Thank You, Who Gives a Crap and Clothing the Gap

Since 1998, we’ve been engaging, educating, championing and supporting inclusive communications for all Australians. We thought it was time to make that commitment known and invite our partners, clients, and supporters to recognise that the good work they are contributing towards is backed by action.

What does that action look like?

We’ve committed to donating 50% of our profit to support the communities we serve, and we plan to amplify our impact through great partnerships. We will launch an annual impact report that highlights our advocacy, the contributions of our partners, and the great work in our communities. For us, action is also about evolving our service offering, to provide inclusive experiences, services and communications at a systems level.

That’s why we are now evolving into a full-service inclusive experiences agency.

It means we aren’t just peddling good communications; we are 100% dedicated to ensuring that all Australians have fair, equal, and equitable access to things that most of us take for granted.

Why social enterprise?

This year alone, we’ve advocated for greater measures to support water safety, improved energy equity, access and inclusion for multicultural women, girls, and broader communities into sport. We think it’s time to shine an even bigger spotlight on our ambition to create a world where social cohesion is a lived reality for all. And we invite you to join us!
