NAATI announces changes to the testing process

NAATI, Australia’s standard body for translators and interpreters offers national accreditation through testing. NAATI accreditation recognises translators and interpreters as able to work to professional standards required by the T&I industry.

In the past, NAATI has offered an on demand testing model, but as of July 1st 2016 has moved to scheduled date testing.

The new testing model acknowledges that some languages have a low demand for testing, and allows for advanced planning, meaning test results will be processed by examiner panels more quickly and efficiently.

Applicants can now express their interest through the free online process and NAATI will contact them with a scheduled test date.
